HI Tresia,
Basically I would use all of these for snapping scapula. Not that they each have the effect of strengthening the serratus anterior, but the overall combination is the best at producing total scapulothoracic rhythm. The Torch press should be the exercise of choice when it comes to improving the scapula winging.
Yes, further articles on this are in the pipeline.

Hello,
I just want to confirm that these are exercises used to rehab a snapping scapula?? Do you recommend doing them all right off or just week one and gradually adding more? I don't have the option to go to the doctor so I am trying to handle this on my own (with God's healing and help)

Thanks a bunch for your help...this is the only website that talks about what kind of rehab to do. THANK YOU for that.
Sincerely,
Tresia

O and another thing....what are your views on using the Turkish getup and the RKC armbar exercise for rehab of the shoulder? Lots of antectdotal testimonies of this over at the Dragon Door forums. When I get better (again) and pick up my kb, I plan to do the "program minimum" Pavel talks about of getups and swings only, instead of throwing in way too many snatch/clean practices and hurting myself.

Awesome article. Interesting you talk about the thoracic vertebrae. I too have injured myself very badly using a kettlebell, and while I felt the "pop" at my thoracic spine (around T2-T3), I wondering if a shoulder problem is there as well, due to the pain at the shoulder blade edge and also radiating to my tricep. Unfortunatley, was doing good for a month and back to lifting dumbbells at least, but now have strained things again since trying a bit of kettlebell work. Will be sure to show this all to my therapist. While I don't have clubbells, I was doing simular exercises with resistance bands.

Rick, great article! I have damaged my shoulders a few times with kettlebells and had to seek some rehabilitative measures along the way.
